This Louis XIII château, which was inspired by the writers and artists who frequented it, has conserved its original architectural integrity. The light guest rooms and refined decor are enhanced by the charm of its 17th-century salons and the poetry of its famous gardens.

The chateau is listed in the Michelin and Gault et Millau Guides as well as Alastairs Sawday’s and Bienvenue au Château.

Nature is king at the Château de La Ballue and an outdoor relaxation area with hot tub and Finnish sauna has been created in the Jardin des Douves, so that guests can relax and unwind even in winter, as the hot tub is at 37°C.

A 17-metre long heated swimming pool in a secret garden is at the disposoal of guests.
