The village of Saint-Brice-en-Coglès is awarded for its flowers by the French label “Village fleuri”. The town obtained the “3 flowers” ranking on 2018.
It’s also one of the two first town to be certified “Village en Poésie” in 2012, a label created by the French poet Jean-Pierre Siméon. This is why many streets and public places regularly change or take their name from poets, and why about ten poem panels are settled on the town-centre and the green areas.
■ Saint-Brice-en-Coglès and its chateau
Known by hikers for its hiking tour of la Marche des Châteaux (French leaflet), the village of Saint-Brice-en-Coglès gathers many castles as the chateau de la Motte (private) which can be seen from a point of view on the hiking paths or the chateau Le Rocher Portail which is open to visitors since 2017.
Architectural gem, le Rocher Portail owns a remarkably preserved furniture, and thow your back in the middle of the 17th and 19th centuries, at the paxe of the nobles and domestics lifes. The chateau is open to the visitors from May to the mid-September, apart from some exceptionnal openings.
You also can discover, from a viex by the road, the front of the Manoir de la Branche, a great old manor became guest house.

On the road to Saint-Etienne-en-Coglès, you can provide of the Croix-Madame pond and its playground. Near from the pond is located the wood of la Motte, a wood of 22 hectares managed by the department for its natural interest.
On the road to La Selle-en-Coglès, you can discover the arboretum “Espace Loysance”, an area which is the object of a recent transformation with its first tree planting, its picnic tables and its poem panels.

The ancient railway became the voie verte VD3 (French leaflet) is crossinf the south of the town-centre of St-Brice-en-Coglès. The village, sitatued halfway between Fougères and Antrain, is an ideal departure point for a short roundtrip in a half-day journey. The village is also a departure point of the bike tour Boucle des Picaous (French leaflet), which lead to discover the heirtage of the South Coglais on a loop of 32 kilometers.
You can also take adventage of the Cogle’O swimming-pool where can be found an atheltic pool and a relacing space (hammam-jacuzzi). For horse lovers, you can find the Ecurie d’Estran horse riding center.
